About SSAT

The SSAT has set the gold standard for private school admission testing since 1957. Today, the SSAT is available in three testing modes—paper, Prometric, and SSAT at Home—with fee waivers and accommodations to make the assessment accessible to as many students as possible.

SSAT低阶满分为2130分，高阶满分为2400分。其中低阶是指5-7年级的考生，高阶是指8-11年级的考生。SSAT由词汇、数学、阅读、和作文四部分组成，其中作文是不计分的，其它都是选择题。做对得1分，做错扣1/4分，不做得0分。

SSAT考试内容

一、作文

SSAT作文不计入总分，但它会被送到考生申请的高中作为参考。虽然作文不如其它三项重要，但也不能轻视它。

二、数学

ssat的数学部分是比较简单的，考生只要熟记英文版的数学专业词汇，以免考试时读不懂题目就可以了。

三、词汇和阅读

SSAT考试中词汇和阅读是最重要的，其中词汇的题目最难，阅读的题目会相对比较简单点。考生能否取得高分，主要看词汇和阅读的成绩。ssat考试对于考生的词汇量要求还是很高的，考生在平时的学习中要多注意积累词汇。

What’s on the SSAT?

Students in grades 3–11 are assessed on their verbal, math, and reading skills. A non-scored writing sample is also included to assess writing ability.
